NAKMAS Quality Award Accreditation via

 the British Standards Institution

NAKMAS is the only United Kingdom and USA martial arts body to have been awarded a government recognised international quality award; 'BS EN ISO 9001:2000' via British Standards Institute (BSI). Additionally, NAKMAS' quality award is also recognised by the American National Standards Institute, the USA government recognised body. Certificate number is: FS 40219.

NAKMAS was first awarded the Quality Award Certificate in August 1998 and has implemented a quality management throughout NAKMAS as a whole. It is evident that since receiving the award and implementing the quality management system, it has reflected good practice throughout NAKMAS and NAKMAS will not compromise on quality, thus maintaining an extremely high standard of service to its members. Through accreditation to 'BS EN ISO 9001:2000' NAKMAS has enjoyed an excellent relationship with local authorities within the United Kingdom and NAKMAS is called upon, from time to time, to assist local authorities, government departments, national press and others on issues relating to martial arts practice and legal governance.

Both the British and USA approved quality standards award kitemarks appear on all NAKMAS certificates and documentation, identifying the NAKMAS accreditation and the commitment to quality for NAKMAS members as a whole.
