39th Mumeishi International Kendo Competitions

Kendo Club Rickmansworth - juniors took two Gold's & one Silver in their relative events at the 39th Mumeishi International Kendo Competitions held in Cranford Middlesex.

Kodokan Club Leader Paul Budden 7th Dan is also Kendo Coach to the British Army Martial Arts Association and Combined services (Army, Navy & Air force) here in the UK. His Combined Services Team took 1st place in the team event this year plus a prestigious fighting Spirit award.

74 teams 50 juniors and 32 ladies took part in this the largest International Kendo Club Event outside of Japan. Competitors from France, Ireland, Lithuania, Thailand and the UK battled together in the various categories.

From end January next year Kodokan will be opening their new 24/7 training centre in Watford.
