INTRODUCTION

George Williams, 6th Dan, has been studying martial arts for over fifty years. He started to train at the age of 16. He has trained with many of the best teachers. These included Ton Heifman, 7th Dan; Henk Sweers, 6th Dan; Bill Wright, 6th Dan; and Jon Blumming who was chief instructor for Kyokushin in the Netherlands.

He studied weapons, katia seido and other strong techniques such as Kyokushin. For many years he trained and taught at Oswald Place, Vauxhall; a venue familiar to many senior karateka. Micky Finn trained and taught weapons there as well.

George is still teaching at the Mejiro Karate Club, alongside many other experienced instructors. George is a retired tattoo artist.

George believes you are never too old to learn karate and martial arts
